Tile is easy to care for, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind to help it perform its very best for many years to come.
Daily care & maintenance
Caring for your tile couldn't be easier! You can sweep, wet mop, dry mop, and vacuum it as needed. You should also incorporate some preventative maintenance as well. Start by investing in entryway mats and placing them around your home. Additionally, consider placing furniture on floor protectors and take great care when moving any heavy items across your flooring. While tile is tough and durable, it's not impervious to scratching.
Dealing with spills & stains
When you find a spill or stain on your tile, simply wipe it away with a clean, dry cloth. Make sure your tile is dry afterward, as ceramic and porcelain tile can be extremely slippery when wet! If you need to use any cleaning products, make sure they are manufacturer-approved and are compatible with grout. Never use a product that contains acids, vinegar, chlorine, or ammonia, as these chemicals can damage or discolor the grout or the surface of the tile itself.
