Before installation
Once you've made your purchase, we will be in touch to confirm your installation appointment. We'll discuss with you everything you need to know prior to your hardwood installation. In the meantime, however, there are a few things to know.
First, you'll need to prepare the room. While we can move your furniture for you, you'll need to move any fragile items and empty any closets. You'll also want to make sure you handle any other projects, like painting, before your flooring installation.
It's likely that we will deliver your hardwood a few days before your installation so that it can acclimate to the temperature and humidity levels of your home. If this is the case, we will let you know in advance.
During & after installation
On the day of the installation, someone who is at least 18 years old will need to be home to show the installers to the work area. We'll evaluate the space, make sure your subfloor is ready to go, and remove your old flooring if necessary. From there, we'll work on installing your hardwood flooring. During this time, keep pets and children away from the area until the installation is complete.
After your installation is over, you may need to stay off your floors for a set amount of time. We'll let you know if this is the case.
